Sharon Thompson lives in Donegal, Ireland and is an ex-primary school principal. Represented by the Trace Literary Agency, Sharon writes crime fiction, short stories and commercial fiction.   

Her debut novel will be launched in January 2018 with Bloodhound Books, UK!

She has other manuscripts with her agent.

Sharon’s an avid member of Imagine, Write, Inspire a writing group, under the mentorship of HarperCollins author Carmel Harrington. Sharon’s short stories have been published in various on-line magazines. Her latest non-fiction piece is published on the international Dangerous Woman’s project.

#WritersWise is her collaboration with writer, Dr Liam Farrell. This is a trending, fortnightly, promotional tweet-chat with corresponding Facebook page and website ( It’s mission is to encourage and support writers to reach as wide an audience as possible.

Recently, Sharon has set up a Reader’s Involved Project. This is where interested readers can get access to and give feedback on initial drafts of Sharon’s latest manuscripts.

Sharon writes regularly for the Donegal Woman website Woman’s Words Sunday column.

Through her charity work Sharon has given lectures, completed live interviews and written articles.
